Solid article. Privilege is an important concept. I also like to think of "perspective bubbles" - We live in bubbles. This can inure us to what happens to people in different circumstances, of race, gender, sexual orientation, ability status, etc. Of course race is the dominant visual identifier, linked with historical oppression that is still a living, deep wound.
